The Annual Saint Catherine Greek Festival has been held every year since 1975 by the Saint Catherine Community as the main fundraiser for the Greek Orthodox Church in West Palm Beach.

The Greek Fest also serves as a way for the Saint Catherine Greek Orthodox community to share their Greek culture and Orthodox faith with the West Palm Beach community.

The Daughters of Penelope Anaes Chapter 210 will host a Greek dinner and presentation by Dr. William M. Murray, the Mary and Gus Stathis Professor of Greek History Emeritus at the University of South Florida. The presentation is entitled It’s All Greek to Me . . . or is it? The Enduring Lure of Greek Culture.

The event is a fundraiser to help St. Stefanos with monumental costs in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, including damage to the church’s sacred iconographic wall and Holy Altar.

Tickets for $60/pp include a Greek dinner and dessert, Professor Murray’s presentation, and a performance of the Kefi Dancers.

The speaker, Professor William M. Murray, holds a PhD from University of Pennsylvania. In addition to his long tenure at USF, Murray has held appointments at the US Naval Academy and the American School of Classical Studies at Athens. Over the past 40 years, he has worked at archaeological sites, both underwater and on land, in Greece, Israel, Turkey, France and Italy. While he recently retired from USF, Professor Murray is currently a member of the Egadi Island Survey Project recovering ancient warships from the last naval battle of the 241 BC First Punic War and has just published, with others, the excavations conducted at Augustus’ Victory Monument for the Actian War near Nicopolis (Epiros) in Greece.

They will be meeting at Ottawa City Hall (110 Laurier Ave W) at 12:30pm. Underground parking on site. They will be visiting Winterlude, going for Beavertails, and walking (or skating) on the Rideau Canal!

What Αποκριάτικο Weekέντι includes: Join Greeks and Philhellenes from the DC area and beyond for our inaugural Αποκριάτικο Weekέντι — four events over three straight days — to welcome Greek superstars Giannis Antetokounmpo and Panos Kiamos to town on Friday, February 21, 2025!  With our regularly scheduled Third Thursday Happy Hour falling the night before an already spectacular alignment of Giannis and Kiamos on the same night, we decided to make it a weekend and add a brunch on Saturday morning to truly make this not just a γλέντι but a Weekέντι!  Join us in DC for a unique opportunity to see both Giannis and Kiamos on Friday, extend your stay by joining us on Thursday for a Late Night Happy Hour at Balos Estiatorio, and stay for brunch on Saturday at For Five Coffee City Center's location featuring For Five Coffee Roasters signature coffee, pastries, and cocktails!  To make it easier for those coming from out-of-town or locals wanting to stay downtown for the weekend, we've secured a hotel block at the AC Hotel Washington, DC Convention Center, walking distance from the Wizards-Bucks game at Capital One Arena and the Kiamos Concert at Penn Social on Friday Night, and the brunch the next morning at For Five Coffee City Center.

Join the Northern New Jersey Young Adult League (NNJ YAL) for our 3rd annual New Year's Bash! Each ticket includes a dinner buffet and cash bar featuring music from DJ Kon! There are a limited quantity of Early Bird tickets available until December 8th. Once distributed and/or after this day, regular priced tickets will be available until December 28th. Afterwards, tickets will be limited and sold as Greek Time pricing if available. Please note when purchasing tickets there is an option to tip the Givebutter platform.
